Jean-Philippe St-Denis discovered fine dinning when he traveled out West, in the Canadian Rockies. When he came back to Quebec, he took some cooking classes that gave him the opportunity to participate in a stage at George Blanc in France (3 Michelin stars).
Upon his return to Montreal, he then started working at the Ferreira Café and Jongleux Café as a cook. After some hard work in these two kitchens, he became chef at the Prélude (Germain hotel) and at Leméac. Leaving Leméac he quickly made his way up to executive chef at the Holder restaurant.
On July 4th 2007, with his partner Mathieu Cloutier, they opened their own restaurant, Kitchen Galerie, close to the Jean-Talon market. A 25-seat restaurant, open for dinner only, where both chefs cook and serve.
