*Chocolate salami
INGREDIENTS - (8 portions)
  • 3/4 cup bittersweet cacao
  • 200g dried amaretti cookies (finely ground)
  • 110g coarsely chopped nuts (pine nuts, pistachios, almonds)
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 110 g melted butter (unsalted)
  • 4 egg yolks
METHOD
  • In a bowl beat together the egg yolks and the sugar
  • Add the milk and continue beating for 1 minute
  • Add the melted butter, cacao, ground amaretti, and the chopped nuts and mix well forming a sticky dough
  • Place the chocolate dough on a sheet of saran wrap and form a salami shape while tightening both ends
  • Wrap the salami with a sheet of aluminum foil and tighten the ends once more
  • Place in the refrigerator for 6-8 hours
  • Cut into slices and serve with a glass of Porto!
